ESL Teacher

I’m a CELTA certified teacher and Cambridge Speaking Examiner for YLE, KET, and PET. Like many English teachers, though, my life didn't start off along that path. I graduated from Al. I Cuza University, Iasi with a BA in English-French but decided to work in advertising. Therefore, I continued my studies with a MA in PR and Advertising. I soon realized that this domain didn’t suit me at all. In 2010, I moved to Bucharest and started my teaching career as a kindergarten assistant in an international school. I decided not to stop there and since 2011 I’ve been teaching different age groups and domains of expertise, such as general English and IELTS exam strategy courses.

Still, teaching young learners gives me a sense of fulfillment so I’ve broaden my expertise with a Diploma in Montessori Early Childhood to better understand the students’ needs.

This is my fourth year at ISB as a Key Stage 1 ESL teacher and every day I enjoy the challenges, rewards, and new learning experiences that teaching young learners offers me.

Year 3 TA

Being a passionate person of nature and interhuman relationships, I’ve chose to learn into a tourism high school from Bucharest and then I continued this passion by studying at the Faculty of Commerce (Commerce and Tourism specialization) from the Academy of Economic Studies, in 2005. As in every activity domain it’s necessary a good communication between people, I considered that graduation of a master on this way it is the most suitable for me. So, I graduated the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, specialization Communication and Public Relations. During faculty, on the same time, I followed four years of pedagogical studies, meanwhile I’ve practiced it at schools and high schools. Also as a way to communicate with people, I graduated television courses, public speaking and photography. All of these studies that I have followed, helped me to be a good teacher, attached of students, to use the most appropriate methods for arousing children's interests and to stimulate their performances. I always wished to be a good model for students and a good advisor.
